Qatar National Sport Day - 2018

Please join us on the 13th of February for fun and family friendly activities.

This all-day event is open to everyone and no pre-registration is required.

Activities include:
Koora Time! Open Play football pitches, Head-to-Head, Dive & Save, a virtual reality experience, fitness classes, along with football bowling and billiards.

When: Tuesday 13th February
Where: Katara Cultural Village
Time: 8.00am until 6.00pm
What to bring: Sports attire, trainers (no cleats please) and family & friends!

Due to the unexpected weather conditions expected on National Sport Day, and after careful consideration of all safety concerns of our participants we have taken the precaution to cancel Koora Times’ National Sport Day activities.

Qatar National Sport Day - 2016

On Qatar National Sports Day on 9th February, the QFA and Qatar Shell hosted the Koora Time Run to Win, an all-day football match which will be tracked using STATS SportVU® technology. Featuring over 650 young players who will rotate in waves, the match is not about who wins or loses, but who takes the most steps and burns the most calories. Every player’s movement will be tracked by Prozone, with players being substituted on and off after completing either 10 minutes or a certain number of steps.

Qatar National Sport Day - 2015

The Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Qatar Shell celebrated National Sport Day 2015 with a "Winner Stays On" football tournament at Aspire Zone. The highly anticipated event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, who officially kicked off the tournament with a penalty kick.

78 teams and 380 participants took part in the 7.5 hour Winner Stays On tournament, while over 4500 people attended the Koora Time Fanzone that included Panna Cages, Il Ab We'Yana Coaching Sessions and football themed inflatables for the whole family.

KOORA TIME WORLD CUP – 2014

Koora Time created its own World Cup football tournament in 2014, comprised of 48 teams. The competition is was open to all skill levels and brought together a whole host of friends and families from around the country for a common goal: a love of football.

KOORA TIME GUINNESS WORLD RECORD 2013
